I am SUPER DUPER thrilled and excited!!!! I’ve been accepted and confirmed to be a vendor at Sew Funky Market’s Spring 2012 show!!!
Eat. Sew. Live.
Passionate people inspire me and I want to create a series of posts to share with you the many talented people that I’ve been “meeting” (whether in person or on the internet).
Just before Christmas, I discovered Stasia Burrington and immediately fell in love with her art, work, and adorable tattooed characters.
Unique LA presented its first Local Love Event this weekend! I love it because Unique LA selects so many wonderful local artists and crafters for their shows and it’s in Downtown LA at the California Market Center, which is walking distance from me! WoohoOoO!
Just a few days ago, I had a request to take some photos of some cute character appliques that I have in my shop. The appliques were created by cutting out characters from a printed fabric. At first, I thought the request for the photos was an AWESOME idea, but as I worked on Photoshopping the photos and cleaning our the edges of the characters, I realized that I was basically copying someone’s work.
Long story short, I decided not to sell/give the files. I am totally bummed because I worked so many hours on them AND they turned out so cute!!! They’re so cute that I want to share them, so here are just a few photos of the ones I printed out.
Last Sunday, James and I went to the Rose Bowl Flea Market for the very first time! J did some research and decided that we should go at 5AM to get the “good stuff”. He had already napped during the day, so he just stayed up. I slept for about 2 hours before he woke me up at 4:30AM to go.
We got there when it was still pitch black, making it hard to take photos (shivering in the cold didn’t help either). The photo above is when we first arrived at the gate and James is holding his VIP pass – it costs more to get in there early. He had his shopping cart ready to pick up some goodies!
