Hester Goes Hollywood!

THIS Saturday, June 2, 2012, Alphabet City Studio is going to HOLLYWOOD with the Hester Street Fair!

I am super excited about this because Hester Street Fair is from the Lower East Side of NYC, where I’m originally from!!  So this is like vending at “home”! ;D

This Saturday is their debut event in Hollywood, “Bite Size Food and Craft Festival.”
“This is an amazing collaboration of great food and indie crafts at it’s finest!  LA’s favorite restaurants, indie food chefs and a selected group of food trucks bring their best menus in Bite Size portions. Everything is Bite Sized to encourage foodies to taste and discover something new. Over 120 amazing arts and crafts, vintage vendors and collectors will be joining us for our premiere event, tapped off with a craft beer garden and live music.”

Check out all the awesome Vendors & Partners including my friends from Cake Bar (yummy alcohol infused cupcakes and more!), Macron Parlour, My Mishion (for the girl who loves handbags), Urban Octopus (great graphics on comfy t-shirts), and more!

I am partnering up again with Anon-Y-Mouse (gorgeous handmade envelopes, paper, & notebooks, and unique cards) and we’re thinking about doing all 4 events!  Hope to see you there!

I just finished my quick and easy craft fair apron!  I really needed one for the Sew Funky Market, but I was too busy stocking up on inventory for that show and never got around to making my apron.  Since this is my first apron and I’m not sure how well it will work out, I decided to construct it easily and quickly.

Do What You Love

Do What You Love, Love What you Do — by mateoandtobias

The last few jobs that I’ve had – bartending (back in NYC), working at a hotel, and working as a leasing and building manager – I had to work weekends and holidays.  As much as I may have liked my job (mostly at the beginning ;P) I hated getting up to go to work on weekends and holidays.  I hated the idea that my friends were getting together, relaxing, and having fun without me.  I wanted to not be at work and enjoy the day off just like everybody else!
